I recently saw this article in a Jamaican publication recently, I have also observed that this kind of incident occurs quite often in various countries,especially the developing ones. Now I am not saying carelessness was involved...but there are somethings you can do to avoid these tragedies from occurring so often.To our kids Take some time to check your home, neighborhood ,your living space for disasters waiting to happen.Check your water storage containers to see if a child can easily access them, and eliminate that access.Don't rely on just warning your kids to avoid playing around it....kids are kids their attention span and sense of danger aren't as acute as adults.I have seen situations where babies drown in buckets of water.        Make sure your baby is not left unattended for any period of time.wow.... some people,unthinkingly , knowingly or just plain stupidly (most of the time) will leave a toddler by itself and go to the store for up to 15 minutes...what are they thinking? A baby can get into serious trouble in a second.       Don't leave a baby to look after another baby....dang!!! I get so mad just thinking of this....how can a so call sensible person leave a kid of...nine years to look after another younger kid .?Worse if that younger kid is a baby just getting into walking around.I don't know i am completely lost on that on,if you know the answer, please enlighten me.

Hey  guys, no  fair , don't  forget  he  has  a    few  more   dollars   than  i  do..."but   what  has  that  got  to  do  with  it" you  ask, well,   he  shows  up  in  public   with   the  kid   and  everybody swoons.."hey  isn't  he  sweet"... he  goes  and buys  his  baby  things ; and everyone's  like ..  "hey  look  everyone,  Brad   Pitt   is   such  a  good  dad"...so   he  is  a  swell  guy  OK..but  as  soon  as  he  is  out  of  site  and  gets  home ,  there   are  a  barrage of nannys and butlers   at  his  beck  and  call ...so   he  doesn't  have  to   sweat, he simply hands  over  the  kid   until  his  next public  appearance.OK  let  me  get  off  Brads  case he  is  one  off  my  favorite stars. My  friend  made  a  comment   the  other  day,haranguing me  about  how Michael  and  all  them   guys,  not the  least  bit  scared  to  venture  in  a store  to  get  baby  things.WOW..   when  the  heck  did  I  get  to  be  in  the  category  of  Micheal  (god  rest  his  soul)  and  them   guys  any  way...? I am  your  ordinary  Joe  Blow, I'm   not primping    for  the  next  photo  opt. I   just  wanna be  home  watching  the Pistons   kick  some  ass.If   i  was suppose  to  be  out   shopping  and styling  in  stores buying  baby  things ; and stuff  Joe  Jackson  would  be  my  dad.what  do  you  think? Hey..  dont  get  the  wrong  idea now  ...  don't  think   for  one  minute    that  me  and  junior  be  home  all  the  time   drinking  beer    eating   corn chips and burping..far   from    it..why  just the  other  day  we  had  a  blast  at  the  beach...got  a  tan  and  everything. He  even  got  lucky showing  off    some  baby  swim  things  I  had  bought  him.....yeah   he  landed  him a  little   cutie. They  made   quite  the   pair  running  around ,  sharing their  baby  stuff and harassing  the  good   beach  folks.So   you  see..we  know  how  to  live  it  up..we  might  not  be  Michael  or   Brad..but , we can  do  this.

SINGLE DADS DILEMMA

OK ... A SWEET AND CONSIDERATE READER EMAILED ME YESTERDAY TO INFORM ME OF A DEAL SHE CONCOCTED.SHE WILL HELP ME WITH MY SHOPPING FOR BABY THINGS IN EXCHANGE FOR A COMMITMENT TO NUPTIALS...WOW. WELL , I AM HERE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING THE OFFER.. I MEAN, THERE IS THE SOLUTION RIGHT..I AM HERE RANTING AND BEMOANING ABOUT BEING A SINGLE DAD AND BOOM...HERE'S THE ANSWER IN A NUT SHELL.WELL I AM  THINKING IM  GONNA BE FALLOWING UP ON HER OFFER.SO.... SHE SAYS SHE IS A SINGLE MOM WITH THREE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS,AND A BOY...HMMMMM.I HAVE BEEN A LONER FOR 3 YEARS NOW, IM WONDERING IF I WILL BE ABLE TO  SUCCESSFULLY INTEGRATE IN A SITUATION OF THIS KIND.ME  AND  JUNIOR HAVE GOTTEN USED TO LIVING LIKE ClINT EASTWOOD'S DIRTY HARRY,PICKING THROUGH  DIRTY CLOTHES FOR THE NOT SO DIRTY ONE,CRAZY GLUING THE CHANNEL SWITCH KNOB TO THE SPORTS CHANNEL,ARRANGING  STUFF IN A SEQUENCE KNOWN ONLY TO US FOR EASE OF FINDING.YEAH ... JUNIOR HAS HIS STUFF ARRANGED AS HE LIKES, HE NEVER HAD TO COMPETE FOR ANYTHING,DON'T HAVE TO BE MARKING AND DEFENDING HIS TERRITORY.CLEARLY WE HAVE TO DON OUR THINKING CAPS  AND EVALUATE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS ACTION.  UHHH....TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH, SHOPPING FOR THINGS FOR THIS LITTLE TYKE BY MYSELF, IS STARTING TO SEEM LIKE A CAKE WALK IN COMPARISON TO THE IMPLICATIONS.ANY WAY, WE ARE NOT COWARDS...WE BEEN THROUGH SOME SCARY SITUATIONS BEFORE...YEAH, ONE TIME WE ACTUALLY WENT INTO A JC PENNY..BRRRRR.
